Noida completed 49 years on Thursday. On this special occasion, Noida Authority’s CEO Lokesh M inaugurated a new Water ATM near ESI Hospital in Sector-24. This Water ATM will benefit around 50,000 people in the area by giving them easy access to clean and cold water.
Water ATM Set Up with CSR Fund
The Water ATM was installed using funds from the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) scheme. During the inauguration, ACEO Sanjay Khatri, finance controller, and representatives from Canara Bank were also present. The ATM can provide up to 1200 liters of water per hour. People can get clean and cold water from it for free.
High-Quality Water
According to the authority, the Water ATM uses several filtration systems to make the water clean and safe. These include ultraviolet (UV) system, ozonator, sand filter, carbon filter, 5-10 micron filter, and pebble filter. It also uses reverse osmosis (RO) to remove harmful substances like hardness, fluoride, and chloride from the water.
Water Using a Smart Card
People will get water using a smart card. One type of vending machine will give 20 liters per card, while other machines are available to give 1 liter of cold and clean drinking water per card.
Open Daily from 8 AM to 8 PM
The CEO said that the Water ATM will be open every day from 8 in the morning to 8 at night. Before this, Noida Authority had already installed Water ATMs at 7 different locations to provide clean water to the public.
