More than 50 percent Work Completed

Every day, thousands of vehicles commuting between Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad pass through Shahberi market. The problem of heavy traffic jams persists due to the narrow road. In light of this issue, the CEO of Greater Noida Authority, Ravi Kumar NG, laid out instructions to widen the Shahberi Road. According to News24 reporter Junaid Akhtar, the team of Work Circle-1 of the project completed the tender process and initiated the road widening work. So far, more than 50 percent of the work has been completed.

Rs 4 Crore Being Spent

Because of the problem of traffic diversion, efforts are being made to complete this work soon. Along with the widening of Shahberi Road, a drain is also being built. The road is being widened by about 1.5 meters on both sides. At some distance, the width of the road will be about 2.5 meters. About Rs 4 crore is being spent on this project. Meanwhile, illegal ramps of shops that were obstructing the work of road widening, have been destroyed.

Monitoring Work

The team of senior manager Ratik, manager Nitish Kumar and Abhishek Singh, and assistant manager Bhupendra Tyagi, in-charge of work circle-1 of the project department of the authority, demolished the illegal ramps of shops on Wednesday. Meanwhile, regular monitoring is being done by ACEO Prerna Singh.

Talks Underway Regarding Elevated Road

Project General Manager AK Singh is also regularly inspecting the site. At the same time, the Greater Noida Authority wants to build an elevated road from NH-24 to the Ek Murti roundabout of Greater Noida West so that there is no traffic problem in the future. Approval has been given to this in the last board meeting of the authority. Talks are underway with other departments, including Noida and YEIDA, for consensus on this.
