Delhi Weather Update: Temperature To Soar To 42°C, No Relief From Heat Likely For Next Five Days


Delhi Weather Update: The national capital continues to reel under intense weather conditions, particularly due to the ongoing heat conditions. Residents are experiencing the wrath of heat with temperatures hovering above 40 degrees Celsius. As per IMD’s latest press release, no larger change in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures was reported in Delhi/NCR over the past 24 hours. Additionally, the India Meteorological Department has predicted no heat wave conditions in the city till the 2nd of May, 2025.

Delhi Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days

Residents can expect a partly cloudy sky in Delhi on 27th April with occasional sustained surface winds gusting up to 30 Km/h. Thereafter, on 28th April, the sky will mostly remain clear with maximum temperatures surging up to 42 degrees Celsius. As the 29th of April unfolds, Delhiites will see clear skies with strong surface winds blowing at a speed of 20 to 30 Km/h. During the day, the temperature would hover around 38°C to 40°C.

Later on, on 30th April, 1st and 2nd May, there will be a partly cloudy sky with strong surface winds, traveling at a speed of 15 to 25 Km/h. Residents are advised to stay indoors, keep themselves hydrated, nd avoid travel, if possible, especially during the peak hours. On the other hand, a Western Disturbance and an upper cyclonic circulation are contributing to factors that are currently affecting Northwest India.

No Immediate Signs Of Rainfall

The Maximum and minimum temperatures, over most places in Delhi, remained in the range between 42 to 43°C and 19 to 24°C. The Met Department has predicted a further fall in maximum temperatures by 1-2°C during the next 2 days. Additionally, there are no immediate signs of rainfall in the capital for the next five days.
