Absconding Accused Sajid Arrested After Encounter, Had Shot Constable Saurabh On May 26 News24 –

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Wave City police station arrested Sajid, an absconding accused in the murder case of Constable Saurabh Kumar, on Wednesday night. An encounter broke out between the police and the accused during which the latter fired at the officials. Sajid was admitted to a hospital after being shot in the leg.

Accused Fires At Police

On May 26, Noida Police reached Nahal village of the Mussoorie police station area of ​​Ghaziabad to raid. During this, history-sheeter Qadir, along with his associates, opened indiscriminate firing at the police team. During the firing, Constable Saurabh Kumar was injured by a bullet. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition and died during treatment. So far, 16 accused have been arrested in the case. The accused Sajid, went into hiding after that.

Encounter Broke Out On Dasna-Kazipur Road

According to ACP Wave City Priyanshi Pal, late at night on Wednesday, the police began inspecting the Dasna-Kazipur road. During this time, the police team tried to stop a suspicious bike rider, but the bike rider fled towards the rough road. The accused later opened fire on the police team. In retaliation, the Police shot him in the leg. Officials have seized the bike and cartridges from the scene.
