Delhi Weather Update: Delhi’s weather has turned pleasant after rain lashed the national capital on Tuesday. The maximum temperature has dropped significantly and is currently in the range of 36°C. After reeling under scorching heat over the past few weeks, a noticeable change in Delhi’s weather has been observed due to Western Disturbance. The sudden changes in weather have brought much-needed respite to the people.
Weather Forecast For Wednesday, June 18
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Wednesday, June 18. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning, moderate to heavy rainfall, and gusty winds have been predicted for today. The sky will remain generally cloudy with maximum temperature around 36°C. Gusty winds with speed 40-50 kmph temporarily reaching 60 kmph are expected during thunderstorm towards evening/night.
Weather Forecast For This Week
Delhi residents are going to experience extended relief, as the rainfall will continue throughout the week. The remainder days of the week will see pleasant weather conditions.
June 19: Generally cloudy sky with moderate rain is likely on Thursday. The maximum temperature will remain around 37°C. A yellow alert for rain and thunderstorm has been issued by the IMD. Gusty winds reaching upto 40-50 kmph are predicted.
June 20: Rain and Thundershowers are expected on Friday. The maximum temperature will remain at 36°C. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40kmph) is predicted during evening.
June 21: The maximum temperature will remain at 37°C, with rain and thunderstorm predicted for the day.
June 22: Rain or Thundershowers is expected. The maximum temperature will remain at 38°C. Partly cloudy sky and gusty winds are predicted.
Monsoon Update
The Northern limit of monsoon continues to pass through Deesa, Indore, Panchmarhi, Mandla, Ambikapur, Hazaribagh, Supaul. According to the IMD, conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest monsoon over remaining parts of North Arabian Sea and Gujarat; some parts of Rajasthan; some more parts of Madhya Pradesh; remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during next 2 days.
