A shocking incident has come to light from Noida, where a makeup appointment turned into a nightmare for a young woman. A girl from Ghaziabad had booked an appointment at a beauty parlour in Noida, as she was attending an engagement ceremony. The beauty parlour claimed to use good quality products. Trusting their services, she deposited Rs 5 lakhs in advance and went to get her makeup done.
Here’s What Happened
After getting her makeup done, she went to the engagement ceremony. However, after some time she noticed red spots appearing on her face. She was so terrified that she couldn’t look herself in the mirror.
The girl immediately went to the doctor, who told her that expired cream had been applied on her face. She then narrated the whole story to the doctor about the makeup done at a beauty parlour in Noida.
When the beauty parlour management did not accept its mistake in the case, the girl filed complaint in the consumer commission. After assessing the case for about one year, the consumer commission has now ordered the beauty parlour to pay Rs one lakh to the girl. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 50 thousand has also been imposed on the parlour. Upon getting the forum’s directive, the beauty parlour management has started acting to it.
This shocking case highlights that one should always check the expiry date of products, while getting their makeup done at beauty parlours. It is seen that some beauticians use expired products so that they don’t go waste. This action of beauticians pose harm to consumers, by affecting their skin. Therefore, it is advised that you chose a good and rated beauty parlour.
