Four-Storey Building Collapses In Seelampur; Several Feared Trapped News24 –


Delhi: An unfortunate incident occurred in Delhi’s Seelampur on Saturday morning, when a four-storey building collapsed. Three to four people have been taken to the hospital, while several others are feared trapped under the debris. According to the Fire Department, at least seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot to carry out rescue operations. The visuals from the site showed locals helping to clear piles of huge debris.

In another tragic incident that took place on Friday, a man died after a building collapsed near Azad Market in North Delhi. The ill-fated event occurred around 2 am in a structure located in the Bara Hindu Rao area. Three shops operated on the ground floor of the building, while the godowns were situated on the first floor.

Police took swift action after receiving information about the collapse via PCR at approximately 1.55 am. The Delhi Fire Brigade, along with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) ambulance, and the Crime Team, rushed to the site and began rescue efforts.

The deceased, identified as 45-year-old Manoj Sharma, had been working there at shop no 7A for the past 30 years. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Hospital. Meanwhile, no other injuries or casualties have been reported in the tragic collapse so far.
