Gurugram Offices to Work From Home Today as Heavy Rain Chokes the City; Issues Advisory — Here’s What It Says About Schools News24 –
The Gurugram administration in Haryana on Monday issued an advisory asking offices to allow employees to work from home on Tuesday, September 2, in view of the heavy rains lashing Delhi-NCR.
“Today, between 3 PM to 7 PM, Gurugram recorded heavy rainfall on 02-09-2025, In view of the forecast: All corporate offices & private institutions are advised to guide employees to work from home. All schools in the district are advised to conduct online classes on 02-09-2025,” it added. The advisory posted by Deputy Commissioner Gurugram on X said. The advisory comes after the city recorded intense rainfall on Monday. IMD has issued an Orange Alert for Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall on Tuesday. However, As of now, the Delhi government has not announced any holidays in the region, but if the rains continue the BJP government may announce school holidays for all students.

Heavy rain caused long traffic jams on major roads and intersections, leaving many commuters stuck for hours. At Palam Airport, the downpour also reduced visibility sharply, dropping from 2,500 metres at 2:30 PM to just 800 metres by 3 PM, according to the IMD. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 30.8°C, about 3.7°C below normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 23.7°C, 2.8°C below normal, as per the IMD.
