Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement will remain affected in Delhi’s Central District on September 3, 2025, due to religious and public processions. Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive advisory, outlining key affected areas. Commuters must avoid the mentioned routes, use public transport, and plan their journey accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
The Shobha Yatra of Sant Shri Durbal Nath Ji Maharaj Jayanti will begin around 1 pm on Wednesday from Ramleela Maidan. It will pass through Asif Ali Road, Ajmeri Gate, Pul Paharganj, Jhandewalan, Faiz Road, Gurudwara Road, Arya Samaj Road, Tank Road, and Ashram Sant Baba Durbal Nath Ji. A crowd of approximately 1500 people is expected to take part in the religious procession.
On the other hand, a procession of the 31st National Convention of the National Federation of Indian Railwaymen will be taken out from 3 pm to 6 pm on September 3. It will pass through the following routes: State Entry Road – Chelmsford Road – Basant Lane – Karnail Singh Stadium. Approximately 5000 people are expected to take part in the public procession.
Traffic Restrictions And Diversions
Traffic on Desh Bandhu Gupta Road, Chelmsford Road, Qutub Road, Pul Paharganj, and adjoining stretches will be diverted in phases as the processions move forward. Commuters can expect heavy congestion during the event.
