About Aqua Line Metro Extension Project

On July 24, 2025, the central government had officially sanctioned the extension of the Aqua Line Metro Corridor from Depot Station to the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) at Boraki. This followed an earlier approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) by the Uttar Pradesh government, reinstating a joint commitment toward improved urban connectivity and infrastructure development.

The proposed metro extension will span 2.60 Kilometers, connecting:
 1. Depot Station (Existing)
 2. Junpat Village Metro Station (New)
3. Boraki Metro Station (New).

The Aqua Line extension project is expected to be completed within 3 years. Once operational, this will ease commuting between Noida and Greater Noida by promoting public transport usage, and contribute to sustainable, environment-friendly urban growth.

Boraki MMTH will emerge as a major transit hub integrating an Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), a Railway Passenger Terminal, and a Bus Terminal, making this metro link vital for seamless multimodal connectivity.
