Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Authority has approved plans to build a 24-meter-wide road connecting Astoli to Azampur Garhi. Expedition of the construction work on the 3-km-long and 24-m-wide road is currently underway. This road is estimated to be completed by February 2026.
Construction Of Garbage disposal Center
The connecting road will begin from the state-of-the-art waste disposal facility being constructed in Astoliand and go up to Azampur Garhi village located on the Dankaur-Secunderabad road. The road aims to facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles and cut down travel time. Additionally, it will greatly benefit Astauli, Azampur Garhi, Banjarpur, Masota, and Kherli villagers.
Development Of Green Zones And Drainage System
Senior Manager of Greater Noida Authority, Nagendra Singh, said that a 10-meter-wide green zone will be developed on both sides of the road. Moreover, the RCC drain is also being constructed along the road to prevent waterlogging.
NTPC Plant Set To Boost Local Activity
NTPC is developing a solid plant with a capacity of 900 tonnes per day spanning 126 acres of land in Astauli. 600 tonnes of waste from Noida and 300 tonnes from Greater Noida will be processed once the plant becomes operational. Meanwhile, electricity will be produced through Torrified Charcoal (an environmentally friendly alternative to coal).

With the construction of the road, people living in rural areas like Astauli, Kherli, and Azampur Garhi will enjoy seamless transportation.
