Bomb Threat At Delhi Secretariat; Search Operation Underway News24 –

On Monday, panic broke out at the Delhi Secretariat and Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) after a bomb threat email was received.

According to the Delhi Police, the email warned of a bomb threat at 2:45 pm at MAMC and at 3:30 pm at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Immediate steps were taken as per the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) as soon as the threat was received, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDDS) started a thorough search and scanning of both the places, MAMC and the Secretariat premises. All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of the people present at both these places.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the email matches a fake mail received earlier, and there are indications that the message may have been sent to a location in another state.

Nevertheless, the police and all the concerned agencies are taking the threat very seriously, and all standard procedures are being strictly followed.
