Built at a cost of 92 crores
The main objective of the underpass being built at Gaur Chowk is to solve the problem of traffic jam in Greater Noida West. It also aims to connect Greater Noida directly to Gaur City and Delhi-Meerut Expressway. For this, it is being considered to allow vehicles to pass through bypass Gaur Chowk, which will reduce the traffic load on the intersection significantly.
This project is being built at a cost of about Rs 92 crore. There is mounting traffic pressure in this area from multiple routes, including Noida, Surajpur, Crossings Republik and DME. Under the redevelopment plan, the size of the existing rotary at Gaur Chowk will be reduced and the iconic four statues will be re-installed in the center of the intersection.
