Greater Noida to Gurugram travel to get faster – check route and proposed stations News24 –


Greater Noida: Faster and smoother connectivity will no longer be a dream for the residents of the National Capital Region (NCR). A promising update is that the geotechnical survey for the proposed Namo Bharat Train Corridor from Gurugram to Greater Noida via Faridabad has been completed.

DPR To Be Ready In 3 Months

A Detailed Project Report (DPR), estimated to be ready within the next three months, will be sent to the Uttar Pradesh and Haryana governments for approval.

About The Namo Bharat Train Corridor

The Namo Bharat Train Corridor, spanning 65 kilometers, will begin at IFFCO Chowk (Gurugram) on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, extending through Faridabad to Noida and Greater Noida. The route will link the NCRTC’s Ghaziabad-Jewar Airport Namo Bharat project.

Proposed Stations

At present, six major stations are planned along this route, but NCRTC said that the number of stations may rise to nine.

  • IFFCO Chowk Gurugram
  • Sector 54 Golf Course Road Gurugram
  • Bata Chowk, Faridabad
  • Sectors 85 and 86, Faridabad
  • Sectors 142-168
  • Surajpur, Greater Noida

Trains To Run At 180 km/h

The Namo Bharat Train on this route is designed to hit speeds up to 180 km/h. Trains will be running every 5 to 7 minutes, poised to boost ridership.

Estimated Cost

The entire corridor is estimated to be built at a cost of approximately Rs 15,000 crores. The route alignment is such that it will pass through the Aravali region, benefiting thousands of people. The Namo Bharat Train will enter the Aravalli region via Dr. BR Ambedkar Marg, Gurugram, Brigadier Osman Marg, Golf Course Road, and in front of Ansal University.
