Greater Noida: To address the needs of a growing population and expanding infrastructure, the Greater Noida Authority is planning to build three new 33 KV power substations. According to reports, the foundation stone for the Badalpur substation will be laid soon, while proposals have been drafted for substations in Patwari and Shahberi. The construction aims to improve power supply in both urban and rural areas.
Tender Process For Badalpur Substation Completed
According to Ashwini Kumar Chaturvedi, Senior Manager of the Greater Noida Authority, the tender process for the Badalpur substation has been completed, and construction work is set to commence soon. The estimated cost of the project is approximately Rs 14 crore. The substation will provide a stable power supply to Achheja, Sadhopur, Badalpur, and the surrounding colonies.
Proposed Substations In Patwari And Shahberi
Proposals for building substations in the Patwari and Shahberi areas have been drafted and are expected to be submitted shortly for necessary approvals. The substations will directly benefit many sectors and villages in Greater Noida West, addressing issues of tripping, load shedding, and power outages. The construction in these regions is expected to alleviate this crisis.

Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar said that directives have been provided to initiate construction work of the Badalpur substation soon. A total of three new substations will be completed.
