Delhi Traffic Advisory: Ahead of Ramlila and Dussehra festivities at the grounds in front of the Red Fort, Delhi Traffic Police issued a comprehensive advisory on Saturday. The advisory, effective from September 22 to October 3, outlines major restrictions and diversions on Netaji Subhash Marg and surrounding areas. Commuters must avoid the affected areas from 5 pm to 12 am and use alternate routes to reach their respective destinations.
Three major Ramlilas, Lav Kush Ramlila, Nav Shri Dharmik Ramlila, and Shri Dharmik Ramlila, are being organized at the Red Fort Ground. Special traffic arrangements will in place in view of the anticipated heavy footfall and slow vehicular movement.
Traffic Restrictions And Diversions
- Commercial vehicles and DTC buses will be rerouted from Delhi Gate Chowk, Daryaganj and Chatta Rail Chowk
- During the event, traffic movement will be halted on Netaji Subhash Marg (Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail Chowk) and Nishad Raj Marg
- Private vehicles may be diverted, as per requirement, from Chhatta Rail Chowk, T-Point Subhash Marg, Delhi Gate, Shanti Van Chowk, GPO Chowk, Lothian Road

- Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail: Delhi Gate-Rajghat-Shanti Van-Hanuman Setu-Kelaghat-Chatta Rail
- Chatta Rail to Delhi Gate: Chatta Rail-Hanuman Setu-Salimgarh Bypass-Rajghat-Delhi Gate
Parking Arrangements For Visitors
During the event, the visitors without parking labels may use the following available spaces:
- ASI Parking at Madhav Das Park (2A Parking)
- Tikona Park Parking Space (No.3 Parking)
- Sunehari Masjid Parking (T-5 Parking)
- Parade Ground Parking
- Dangal Maidan Parking
- Omaxe Mall Parking
- Church Mission Road Parking
- Vehicles with parking labels issued by organizers will be parked at:
- Nav Dharmik Committee – Near Lahori Gate & Ticket Ghar at Red Fort
- Nav Shri Dharmik Committee – Near 15 August Park & Opp. Rampart
- Lav Kush Committee – Inside 4A Parking Area
- Exit Routes for Reserved Parking Vehicles:
- Vehicles of Nav Dharmik & Nav Shri Dharmik Committees will exit via Gyan Path.
- Vehicles of Lav Kush Committee will exit on Netaji Subhash Marg.
- Nearest Metro Stations:
- Lal Quila
- Jama Masjid
NOTE: No E-rickshaw, auto rickshaw, or cycle rickshaw will be restricted at Chhatta Rail Chowk and Delhi Gate on Netaji Subhash Marg. Extra rush is expected at Hanuman Mandir on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
