Innovative teaching! Delhi school’s mock election video breaks the internet News24 –

A school teacher in Delhi shared a video in which he conducted elections to the children to explain the process of democracy within the classroom. People liked this unique initiative very much and the video became increasingly viral. The video, shared by this teacher on Instagram under the name ‘Mastraji’, has been watched more than a million times so far.

In the video, he says, “Today I taught children how democracy works in the country. For this I made an election activity teaching ‘government and democracy’ chapters. I made four students a candidate, gave them the signs of the party and gave four days time for campaigning.”

He said that the students themselves raised slogans, campaigned with enthusiasm and participated in this activity with full enthusiasm. “I gave two children the responsibility of a priscation officer, formed a polling booth, and kept the monitors in the role of a police to maintain the fairness of the election,” he said.
The teacher also shared that the children voted in turn, showed identity cards, put ink on their fingers and voted in the booth. Counting was also held after the voting ended.

“The children were very excited. Some students who lost were a little disappointed, but in the end the candidate whose slogan was ‘Samosa Press, Somesh Jitao’ – he won. And then he gave us the party,” he told us laughing.

People appreciated this initiative on social media. Someone wrote, “Such studies should be done in every school.” A user made a funny comment, “We do not consider the rules of keeping the promise.”
Another said, “We need teachers like you.” At the same time, a user wrote, “This activity should be in every school and college.” In fact, sometimes the most effective way to teach is-to show it and give children an opportunity to experience themselves.
