As a relief to the heat in Delhi-NCR, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, and Ghaziabad will see light rain today and tomorrow, i.e, on September 30 and October 1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle on Tuesday. As per the IMD, the maximum temperature is currently hovering between 35 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius. This could bring a dip in the temperatures in these cities. In terms of temperature, the national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 37.5°C on Monday, while Sunday was even hotter at 38.1°C, the highest for the month in the past two years.
Delhi’s air quality remained in the “moderate” category on Monday with an AQI of 120, according to CPCB. The city also witnessed unusually high temperatures in September. Monday’s maximum temperature was 37.5°C, while Sunday recorded 38.1°C — the hottest September day in two years. The minimum temperature on Monday was 28.2°C, which was 4.7 degrees above normal. Humidity ranged between 57% and 76%, the IMD said.

IMD stated that a low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea is causing changes in winds. This will cause the weather in Delhi-NCR to remain volatile for the next few days, until October 3rd. During this period, the sky may occasionally remain cloudy and light rain is possible.
