Delhi Traffic Alert: Diversions in Chandni Chowk and Nearby Markets Until Oct 2
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement will remain affected until October 21, 2025, in Chandni Chowk and nearby markets in view of the festive season rush. In a comprehensive traffic advisory issued on Saturday, the Delhi Traffic Police outlined major diversions and restrictions on key routes from 2 pm to 10 pm. Commuters must avoid the mentioned routes and plan their journey, as a large number of visitors are expected to disrupt the traffic flow.
Traffic Restrictions And Diversions
- All buses (DTC buses, commercial vehicles) approaching from the Daryaganj side on Netaji Subhash Marg will be rerouted from T-Point Subhash Marg towards Shanti Van
- Vehicles coming from Old Delhi Railway Station or Lothian Road will be diverted from Chhatta Rail towards Salimgarh By-pass
- Additional diversions may be enforced from Shanti Van Chowk, Delhi Gate Chowk, and GPO Chowk

- Parade Ground Parking on NS Marg
- ASI Parking on Nishad Raj Marg
- Dangal Maidan Parking on SPM Marg
- Omaxe Mall Parking on HC Sen Road
Guidelines For Visitors
- Park vehicles only at designated areas
- Roadside parking is strictly prohibited.
- No E-Rickshaw, Auto Rickshaw, or Cycle Rickshaw are permitted beyond Chhatta Rail Chowk and T-Point Subhash Marg on Netaji Subhash Marg.
- Pedestrians are urged to use footpaths and designated crossings only.
Shoppers and customers are requested to follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed at intersections.
