Diversions and Restrictions in MB Road, Kalindi Kunj, Bhajanpura on Oct 27; Check Full Advisory News24 –


Delhi Traffic Alert: Delhi Traffic Police have made special traffic arrangements to ensure smooth movement and public safety during the Chhath Puja festivities. The restrictions and diversions have been announced from the afternoon of October 27 to the morning of October 28 in the national capital. Traffic diversions, restrictions, and parking regulations will be implemented near Chhath Ghats and other major celebration sites, stated the Delhi Traffic police in its advisory.

Announcing the special traffic arrangements, Delhi Traffic Police wrote on X, “In connection with Chhath Puja 2025 to be celebrated across Delhi from 27th October afternoon to 28th October morning, special traffic arrangements will be in place.”

Delhi Traffic Alert: Check Diversions and Restrictions

Heavy congestion is expected near major ponds in Eastern, Central/North, South/South-East, North-West/Outer and Western Delhi. According to authorities, the following arrangements will be implemented:

Roads likely to face congestion include MB Road, Kalindi Kunj, Khadar Road, Agra Canal Road and Road No. 13. While, diversions will be in effect in Bhajanpura area, Gandhi Nagar area and Khajuri Khas area.

Commuters are advised to avoid the routes around Chhath Puja sites, particularly the stretches of M.B. Road from Lal Kuan to Tughalkabad Extension), Khadar Kalindi Kunj Road, Agra Canal Road and Road No. 13.

In Bhanjanpura area, commercial vehicles will not be allowed on GT Road towards Yudhishthir Setu from Shastri Park between 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday, October 27 and 5 am to 7 am on October 28.

In Gandhi Nagar area, Shantivan Loop and Laxmi Nagar to Kailash Nagar Road will remain closed during 5 pm to 6 pm on October 27, and 5 am to 7 am on October 28, with traffic diverted via Disused Canal Road.

In Khajuri Khas area, traffic towards Sonia Vihar will be diverted from Nanaksar towards Old Wazirabad Road, and vehicles from Sonia Vihar border will be diverted from MCD Toll towards Sabhapur Village.

In view of these measures, commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly, follow the directions of traffic personnel, and use public transport wherever possible.
