As JNU students roll up their sleeves for the college elections, the Election Committee of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released the final list of candidates for the much-awaited Students’ Union elections for the academic year 2025–26. JNU Polls: How Many Candidates
JNU Polls 2025-26: A total of 20 candidates, including six women, will contest for four main posts — president, vice-president, general secretary, and joint secretary — in the November 4 elections. Out of these, seven students are contesting for president, three for vice-president, five for general secretary, and five for joint secretary. Apart from this, 111 students have been confirmed as candidates for councill or positions across JNU’s 18 centres. The final list of candidates was released on Wednesday evening after the withdrawal period ended.
