Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement will remain affected near the Red Fort from November 19 to 25, 2025, in view of a mega event being organised for the 350th Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Tej Bahadur Sahib. In a comprehensive traffic advisory issued on Wednesday, the Delhi Traffic Police has outlined major diversions on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg.
A large gathering of the public and several VVIPs is expected to attend the event. Due to the heavy footfall and vehicular movement on the mentioned routes, special arrangements are in place to ensure smooth traffic flow. Commuters must avoid roadside parking and plan their journey accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Traffic Restrictions And Diversions (On Need Basis)
- Buses and commercial vehicles approaching from Delhi Gate side and Chhata Rail Chowk side towards Netaji Subhash Marg will be diverted from Delhi Gate Chowk/Chhata Rail Chowk/GPO Chowk towards Ring Road, between 4 pm to 11 pm until November 25, 2025.
- Complete traffic movement may be restricted on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg during the event period, depending on ground requirements.
- Diversions may also be enforced at the following points: Chhata Rail Chowk, T-Point Subhash Marg, Shanti Van Chowk, GPO Chowk, Delhi Gate, and Hanuman Mandir Crossing
Parking Arrangements
Visitors to the Red Fort and the Chandni Chowk Market are advised to park their vehicles in the following designated parking areas:
- Parade Ground Parking on Netaji Subhash Marg
- ASI Parking, Red Fort on Nishad Raj Marg
- ASI Parking, Red Fort on Angoori Bagh Road
- Dangal Maidan Parking on SPM Marg
- Omaxe Mall Parking on HC Sen Road
- Church Mission Road Parking
- Service Road near Shanti Van Crossing
Suggested Alternate Routes
Traffic will be affected on Ring Road (Rajghat to Chandgiram Akhara), Netaji Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, SPM Marg, Lothian Road, and Boulevard Road. Commuters are advised to take the following suggested alternate routes:
- Rani Jhansi Road
- Salim Garh Bypass
- Vikas Marg
- Pusta Road
