Drugs worth Rs 262 crore seized from Delhi flat, Noida salesman turns out to be mastermind; Amit Shah lauds NCB-Delhi Police News24 –

Delhi: In one of the biggest crackdowns on synthetic drug trafficking, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Delhi Police have recovered 328.54 kg of methamphetamine worth Rs 262 crore from a Delhi farmhouse in Chhattarpur following a three-day joint exercise. Under Operation “Crystal Fortress,” the NCB has arrested two people, including a Nagaland woman.

Shane Waris – The Mastermind Behind Mega Drug Network

The other accused, 25-year-old Shane Waris, arrested on November 20, is a resident of Noida Sector-5, who originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh’s Mangrauli village. According to reports, he posed as a sales manager, operating through fake SIM cards and encrypted platforms like WhatsApp and Zangi. He followed instructions from foreign handlers.

Waris Admits To His Role, Names Another Woman

During questioning, Waris admitted to his role in the transnational drug network. He named Esther Kinimi, a woman who is said to have handed one of the drug consignments sent via a Porter delivery rider. Waris shared her personal details, including contact numbers and address, reports added. Acting on the accused’s inputs, the NCB teams raided a flat in Chhattarpur Enclave on November 20.

Shocking Revelation!

The joint exercise was an intelligence-driven effort to dismantle a transnational drug network. According to investigators, the drug cartel is linked to an alleged foreign-based kingpin who is also wanted in last year’s seizure of 83 kg of cocaine in Delhi.

Amit Shah Lauds NCB-Delhi Police

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday congratulated the joint team of the NCB and Delhi Police for busting the biggest transnational methamphetamine cartel under Operation “Crystal Fortress”.

“Our govt is shattering drug cartels at an unprecedented pace. Fiercely pursuing the top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top approach to the investigation of drugs, a breakthrough was achieved by seizing 328 kg of methamphetamine worth ₹262 crore in New Delhi and arresting two. The operation was a brilliant example of seamless multi-agency coordination to achieve PM Modi Ji’s vision for a drug-free India,” Shah wrote on X.
