New Delhi news: ‘Operation Kavach 11.0’ has become the talk of the town. Delhi’s West District Police carried out 159 raids within 24 hours as part of the operation. They arrested 166 people and detained 627 others linked to criminal activities. But what exactly is ‘Operation Kavach 11.0’?

Operation Kavach 11.0

Operation Kavach 11.0 was a massive 24-hour operation, which lasted from 6 pm on November 24, 2025, to 6 pm on November 25, 2025. In the operation, police arrested 166 people, detained 627 suspects, and raided 159 locations. During this period, 276 challans were issued, 2,784 quarters of illicit liquor were seized, and ₹48,250 in cash was recovered.

12 Police Stations and Special Units

The operation was carried out on the instructions of the Police Headquarters, targeting drug peddlers, illegal liquor suppliers, arms offenders, gamblers, BNSS violators, DP Act violators, COTPA offenders, and other anti-social elements. It was led by the DCP of the West District, with all 12 police stations and special units taking part. These included the Special Staff/West, Anti-Narcotics Squad, AATS/West, and Technical Surveillance Units.

Raids and recoveries

As part of the operation, 71 teams carried out raids across hotspots, slum areas, industrial zones, liquor smuggling routes, suspicious locations, isolated stretches, night-crime spots, and deserted streets. Police set up continuous blockades, conducted mobile patrols, used technical and human intelligence, and maintained real-time coordination between SHOs and special units. They also carried out surprise checks and night surveillance. Every action was photographed and video-recorded to ensure transparency.
