Delhi Traffic Alert: Key routes affected as Palam railway crossing closed for 3 months


Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement currently remains affected for a period of three months in view of the ongoing construction work at the Palam Railway Crossing. The advisory, effective immediately from November 3, 2025, outlines major diversions and restrictions on several key routes. Commuters must plan their journey accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Traffic Diversion Points

  • Traffic approaching from the Dwarka side towards Delhi Cantt./Dhaula Kuan will be rerouted via Palam-Dwarka Flyover.
  • Traffic coming from Manglapuri side towards Delhi Cantt./Dhaula Kuan will be diverted via Parshuram Chowk and Palam Flyover.
  • Traffic coming from the Palam Colony side can use the following alternate routes: Parshuram Chowk, Manglapuri, Bhagat Chandra Hospital Chowk, toward Palam Flyover Road.
  • Heavy vehicles must avoid the Palam area and follow Ring Road /NH-48 to proceed towards their respective destinations.

Guidelines For Commuters

  • Commuters should avoid or bypass the above-mentioned stretches and opt for alternative routes for a smoother travel experience.
  • Maximum use of public transport is advised to reduce congestion during the closure period.
  • Kindly follow the instructions of the traffic personnel deployed in the area.
