Air quality improves slightly, slips to ‘poor’ category – check forecast for next two days News24 –


Delhi AQI: Delhi’s overall air quality slightly improved on Sunday morning after being under the ‘very poor’ category over the past few days. It dropped to ‘poor’ range at 268 at 8 am today (November 30, 2025), according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The capital and neighbouring NCR cities have been enduring toxic air post Diwali.

On Sunday morning, the area around ITO was shrouded by a layer of toxic smog as the AQI dipped to 269 under the ‘poor’ category. Meanwhile, India Gate and Kartavya Path witnessed reduced visibility after air quality declined to 222, sparking health concerns among residents.

AQI Readings In Other Areas Of Delhi Today

Wazirpur registered an AQI of 235 under the ‘poor’ category this morning, while the air quality plummeted to 225 in Sonia Vihar. ‘Poor’ AQI of 193 was recorded in the Chandni Chowk area at 8 am.

AQI plunged to 227 in Jahangirpuri, while nsit Dwarka recorded an air quality index of 143 at 8 am on November 30. The other areas include Rohini (299), Bawana (296), Vivek Vihar (221), Patparganj (212), Nehru Nagar (327), Siri Fort (248), Okhla Phase 2 (217), Lodhi Road 2 (184, Najafgarh (180), and Sri Aurobindo Marg (193).

Delhi Rain Forecast, Smog To Persist

The AQI is unlikely to improve anytime soon in Delhi-NCR, though it slipped into the ‘poor’ category today morning, showing signs of improvement. There is no forecast for rain in the next seven days. Delhi will see a partly cloudy sky on November 30, with Shallow fog blanketing the city during the early morning hours. Thereafter, mainly clear sky is expected over the capital till December 3; however, shallow to moderate fog would still persist.

Delhi AQI: Check Forecast For Next Two Days

According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the air quality will likely be in the ‘very poor’ category until December 2, 2025. The outlook for the subsequent 6 Days shows the AQI in the ‘very poor’ category.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) registered today morning, however, contrasts with the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi’s previous predictions, which suggested that the air quality will likely be in the ‘very poor’ category until December 1, 2025.
