Speeding BMW rams three pedestrians near Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj; Driver detained News24 –
Delhi: Three people were left critically injured after a speeding BMW rammed into the pedestrians near Ambience Mall in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj on Saturday night. According to reports, the car, registered in Himachal Pradesh, veered off the road and struck the pedestrians while they were sleeping on the footpath.
The blow was so severe that the victims were thrown with full force several metres away, leaving them with severe wounds. According to eyewitnesses, the BMW car appeared to be speeding, and the driver seemed unable to steer the vehicle moments before the crash. Shocked bystanders informed the authorities and assisted the injured until the ambulance arrived.

The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. Two of their condition are reported to be critical. Their identities have not been disclosed yet. According to the Police, the vehicle has been seized for forensic examination. Additionally, the BMW car driver has also been detained.
The CCTV footage from the area is currently being reviewed to determine the exact cause of the tragic event. An investigation is underway to find whether the vehicle was speeding or if it was reckless driving.
