BTS Reunion Gets Postponed? Army Clears The Confusion About Their Awaited Tour

Ever since J-Hope completed his mandatory military service, news about BTS’ reunion has been circulating. There were also rumors that the entire band would reunite for a world tour in 2025. However, recent reports state that the reunion is not happening in 2025, but rather will be postponed to 2026. Thus comes after BTS’ management agency HYBE released a statement hinting at their plans. The news spread like fire, leaving many disappointed.

To clear the air, BTS Army took to X to clear up the confusion, stating that the boy band never said that a 2025 reunion would mean BTS’ comeback in the music world. One fan commented, “The only thing slated for 2025 was the BTS comeback reunion, not music comeback. They’re not robots; they need time to create their masterpiece.”

Another fan expressed happiness over their reunion and clarified that he is ready to wait for their music. “I never expected BTS to release an album in 2025. Every time I said I couldn’t wait for 2025, I was talking about their reunion. I can’t wait to see the members together again,” read his tweet.

“This is misinformation. BTS never stated they’re going to have a comeback in 2025. They only mentioned reunion, which will definitely happen. They never mentioned a comeback,” shared another fan.

What did HYBE say?

Though nothing has been officially confirmed, a statement by BTS’ management agency, HYBE, has hinted that the world tour and music projects might happen in 2026. During HYBE’s Q3 earnings call on November 5, CFO Lee Kyung Joon shared their plans with the boy band. He stated, “We are currently in discussions with the members about activities in 2026. While a full group comeback would generate considerable revenue, we expect it will not account for as high a share of our earnings as in the past, as our other artists and new ventures are also contributing to growth.”

BTS Military Enlistment

In 2022, the eldest member of BTS, Jin, began his mandatory military enlistment in the South Korean army, followed by the other members. For the unversed, all men under 30 are required to serve in the South Korean military service, and the seven-member group was no exception.

Post-disbandment, HYBE released a statement that the boy band would reunite after all members finished their military service three years later in 2025. However, the postponement has left fans disappointed, as they have been awaiting the reunion since 2022.
