Sudhir Mishra Slams ‘Adolescence’ For Breaking India’s Scriptwriting Rules, Mocks Its Netflix India Ranking News24 –

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra has sparked a conversation with his recent post on X, in which he has criticised Netflix India’s ranking of the series Adolescence. Adolescence has claimed the number-one spot on Netflix India. The filmmaker expressed both surprise and admiration for the show’s success. Mishra, acclaimed for his films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Chameli, has also questioned its top ranking on Netflix India. He took a subtle jab at its unconventional approach to storytelling.

“How come Adolescence is the No 1 show on Netflix India . All conventional wisdom is against it . Indians are not supposed to like slow burners. It violates every rule taught by bad script writing schools. It spirals down instead of soaring up. It’s the best news in years,” wrote Mishra on X on Tuesday.
