SS Rajamouli Shares Excitement As The Academy Introduces ‘Best Stunt Design’ Category With RRR’s Visual: ‘After 100 Years..’

The Academy has officially announced a new category for its award ceremony and it will now also honour the stunt designs in the movies. This news has received positive response from the audience and filmmakers. SS Rajamouli, who rose to global fame with his movies the Baahubali franchise and RRR, also welcomed this announcement with open arms. He also shared his excitement as the Academy also posted an action visual from RRR to announce the Best Stunt Design category.

Meanwhile, the Academy wrote, “Stunts have always been part of the magic of movies. Now, they’re part of the Oscars. The Academy has created a new annual award for Achievement in Stunt Design—beginning with the 100th Oscars in 2028, honoring films released in 2027.”

On the work front, SS Rajamouli is currently busy working with his next project with Mahesh Babu. Its plot has been kept under wrap but the shooting has reportedly began. Priyanka Chopra is rumoured to star in the movie as well.
