Apoorva Mukhija Aka Rebel Kid Moves Out Of Her Mumbai Flat After India’s Got Latent Controversy

Social media Influencer Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as Rebel Kid, has been speculated about vacating her residence in Mumbai. It has been speculated that the reason behind this decision could be her indulgence in the ongoing controversy of India’s Got Talent Show.

Recently, Apoorva shared a cryptic video on her Instagram stories that hinted she has left her apartment.

What’s There In The story?

In the clip shared, Apoorva is seen switching off the lights in the vacant room. In the video, she had worn a white outfit, standing against the wall of the room, which had dim lighting. This dimly lit room shows cardboard, cleaning supplies and scattered bottles in frame that hint towards the final stages of packing. The content creator captioned the video clip as “End of an era.”

Although Apoorva has not officially announced whether this shifting is done to leave Mumbai or just relocate to a new house within the city. Her fans are wondering about this decision as only four months before, she was giving a home tour of her newly joined residence on a YouTube video and now she is leaving that space.

About The Controversy

In January, Apoorva Mukhija came to the most popular YouTube show, India’s Got Latent of Samay Raina. She was a panel member when YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made controversial remarks, for which he was criticized. A video of Apoorva also gets hate from the netizens. Later on, the creator of the show deleted all the episodes. Raina, Ranveer, Apoorva, and others connected to the show faced multiple FIRs for their offensive remarks made at the show.

Apoorva’s Experience

Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid, has over 3 million followers on her Instagram account. Last week, she deleted all her posts after facing online bullying. In an earlier post, she openly talks about how her manager advised her not to go back to her home as the public is familiar with her location. “I started reading my DMs, and they were all graphic of how people want to rape me, throw acid and stuff like that,” she said, adding that the day she went to the police to record her statement, she “cried so much” as it felt like a “dehumanising” experience because of the way paparazzi behaved with her. Mukhija said her parents have stood by amid all this, but online trolls found her mother’s social media account and started writing nasty stuff in the comments section. “I deserve this because I did this. My parents did not deserve this,” she said.

Further, the content creator added that the revenue generated from the video stream will be donated to an NGO which helps acid attack victims, rape victims and victims of domestic violence”.
