Akshay Kumar-Starrer Slows Down In Theatres After Good First Weekend
Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan in the lead roles, has finally arrived in theatres after creating massive hype. The movie the story of C Sankaran Nair, who fought against the Crown in the court to hold them accountable for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Kesari Chapter 2 has shown decent performance in theatres till now.
Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Collection Day 4:
According to the website Sacnilk, Kesari Chapter 2 collected Rs 4.50 crore on day 4. The movie has witnessed a significant decline in its earnings as it collected Rs 12 crore on day 3 (Sunday). The movie has earned Rs 34 crore in total.
Before the release of Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay shared some behind the scene pictures from the set. He wrote, “You must have heard many stories but this is a storm. C. This story of Shankaran Nair shocked me because we didn’t know someone dragged the entire British umpire to court after the Jallianwala Bagh genocide. Kesari Chapter 2 movie I am doing not just as an artist but as an Indian. It’s not just a movie… It’s an incomplete calculation, it’s a painful memory… And finally — it’s fair. Kesari Chapter 2 now in cinemas near you.”
The movie is also basking in the glory of praise as many celebrities and politicians came forward to show their support for the project. Even PM Narendra Modi mentioned the contribution of C Sankaran Nair in one of his speech. Sharing PM Modi’s video on Instagram, Akshay wrote, “Thank you Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for remembering the great Chettur Sankaran Nair ji and his contribution to our freedom struggle. It is so important that we as a nation, especially the younger generation values the great women and men who fought valiantly to ensure that we breathe in a free country! Our Kesari Chapter 2, is a humble effort to remind everyone that we must never take our freedom for granted!”
It is based on the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’, written by Nair’s great grandson Raghu Palat and his wife Pushpa Palat.
