Dan Da Dan has become the latest obsession of anime fans as they praised its stellar storyline and captivating plot. The anime focuses on a high schooler Momo and her classmate Okarun as they both gain powers. Things take a turn when they have to challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world.

Dan Da Dan has been renewed for its second season and will release sooner than expected. It will arrive on Netflix on July 3, 2025. Watch its brand new trailer here.

The official description of the series reads, “When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue—Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world.”

Fans are over the mood with the announcement of season 2. One netizen wrote, “They knew it was an absolute banger before releasing it that they started production on s2 before s1 even went out.” Another fan commented, “The advantage of reading manga after season 1 is the fact that Dandadan has fight scenes so good we can have fun twice, once reading and then when the anime drops.”

The manga is written by Yukinobu Tatsu and around 19 volumes. Meanwhile, the first three episodes of Dan Da Dan Season 2 will release in theatres in some Asian countries with the title ‘Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye’. The movie will also release in North America and Europe in early June.
