Netizens Give Thumbs Up To Teaser Of Akshay Kumar-Starrer; Look Forward To ‘Whodunnit’ Twist

Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have returned for Housefull 5, which promises to bring a laughter riot with a twist of suspense. After the release of the first part of Housefull, the other four parts have received mixed reactions from the audience despite being commercially successful. However, fans seems to have high hopes for Housefull 5 as many believe that the audience needs mindless comedy movies. Many netizens also praised the casting of Housefull 5 and are looking forward to watching the movie in theatres.

One Reddit user wrote, “The only reason why I am mildly looking forward to this installment in this utterly inane franchise is because Tarun delivered a cheerfully silly comedy in dostana years ago and I believe he might have some of it still in him.”

Another netizen commented, “I think this is going to be a hit. Bollywood audience is craving a mindless (non-action) movie with big names.”

The movie also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.

Earlier, John Abraham revealed that he was also approached to do Housefull 5 but he declined the offer. He told Times Now, “I was approached for Housefull 5 but I chose not to do it. I felt there was a better space for me reserved somewhere else. I would love to do a Garam Masala with Akshay (Kumar). Maybe something situational, dark comedy or something exciting with him.”

Housefull 5 will release in theatres on June 6, 2025. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed Tarun Mansukhani. Its story and screenplay is done by Sajid Nadiadwala.

On the work front, Akshay was recently seen in Kesari Chapter 2 with Ananya Panday and R Madhavan. He played the role of C Sankaran Nair, who fought against the Crown in the court after Jallianwala Bagh incident to hold them accountable for the tragedy.
