Kanye West, 47, has again found himself at the center of controversy this time with a weird and tearful livestream. In the footage which was posted to Instagram by Hollywood Unlocked on Wednesday, the rapper was seen wearing a full black mask across his face as he ranted about his very public custody battles with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Although the couple finalised their divorce in 2022, West has continued to show frustration over having little control in major areas of their children’s lives. The livestream quickly gained traction and went viral, earning the fanbase’s concern and speculation.

A Demand To Be More Than Just A Visitor

In a previous now-deleted post on X the Rapper wrote, “Yes I have beef with people that froze my account took my kids away and tried to put me in jail AND ITS STUCK.” I DONT WANT TO JUST ‘SEE’ MY KIDS. I NEED TO RAISE THEM. I NEED TO HAVE SAY SO OF WEAR [sic] THEY GO TO SCHOOL AND WHO THEIR FRIENDS ARE AND WHOS [sic] HOUSES THEY SLEEP OVER WEATHER [sic] MY DAUGHTERS WEAR LIPSTICK AND PERFUME.”

He also added, “ALL THESE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME BY THE KARDASHIAN MOB HULU AND DISNEY AND THE BIGGER AGENDA TO USE THE SELECTIVELY BRED BLACK CHILDREN TO BE PLATFORMS TO INFLUENCE BLACK PEOPLE.”

This is not the first time Kanye has gone public with complaints about his custody arrangement. He has complained about Kim Kardashian making parenting choices without his input over the years. The most recent livestream, however, was one of his most theatrical performances to date, and it reignited controversy over co-parenting boundaries and privacy.
