Find Out Which South Star Joins The Franchise Next

The third part of Sailesh Kolanu’s crime-thriller franchise, HIT: The Third Case, hit theatres on May 1, with Nani starring as SP Arjun Sarkaar, solving a series of murders. But the bigger surprise came at the end where Tamil star Karthi has been officially announced as the new lead in Sailesh Kolanu’s successful HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) franchise.

The latest installment introduces Karthi as ACP Veerappan making him as the first non-Telugu actor to feature in the franchise. Veerappan assures viewers that Karthi’s character is “bilingual,”clearing any language barrier concerns among fans. The ending hints that he already has a murder case waiting for him in the next part.

This isn’t Karthi’s first playing police officers. He’s previously portrayed cops in Siruthai (2011), Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), and Sardar (2022), with Sardar 2 currently in the works.

About HIT Franchise

Sailesh Kolanu’s crime thriller franchise began in 2020 which starred Vishwak Sen as a cop dealing with PTSD. The second film featured Adivi Sesh as KD, who hunted down a serial killer. In the latest film, Nani’s character goes undercover to crack a difficult case.

Nani has played the role of Arjun Sarkaar in HIT 3 and also appeared in a cameo role in HIT 2. Written and directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu, the movie also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Maganti Srinath in the lead roles. Meanwhile, Maganti Srinath has reprised his role of Abhilash in the movie.

Now, with Karthi taking the lead, HIT: The Fourth Case is expected to bring a fresh twist to the already popular crime-thriller series although no production timeline has been announced.
