Janhvi, Shanaya And Khushi Kapoor Arrive At Anil Kapoor’s House After Grandmother Nirmal Passes Away

Nirmal Kapoor, mother of actor Anil Kapoor and filmmaker Boney Kapoor, passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 90 due to age related issues. After her demise, her granddaughters Janhvi, Khushi and Shanaya were seen arriving at Anil Kapoor’s house to pay their last respect.

For the unversed, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor are the daughters of Boney Kapoor and are also actresses. Meanwhile, Shanaya is the daughter of Nirmal’s youngest son Sanjay and will soon make her debut in Bollywood.

Nirmal Kapoor celebrated her 90th birthday in September 2024 and her family shared several heartfelt posts for her on social media. Anil Kapoor shared a childhood picture of himself and wrote, “90 years of love, strength, and endless sacrifices. Your presence fills our lives with joy and positivity every day. Blessed to be your child. Happy birthday, Mummy!”

Boney Kapoor wrote, “Mummy ji happy 90th birthday, Just 1 more decade for a century . We need you to be there for us , bless us , protect us & above all keep guiding us.”

Nirmal Kapoor married Surinder Kapoor, late veteran film producer, in 1955. She remained away from the spotlight most of her life, whereas, her children Anil, Boney and Sanjay went on to become a big part of the Indian film industry.

The Kapoor family is yet to issue an statement after the demise of Nirmal Kapoor.
