Anil Kapoor, Arjun, Anupam Kher And Other Loved Ones Arrive For Nirmal Kapoor’s Last Rites

Actors Anil and Sanjay Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor’s mother Nirmal passed away on May 2 at the age of 90. According to the official statement by the Kapoor family, she passed away peacefully and was surrounded by her loved ones. Her last rites will take place today and her family members were seen arriving at pay their last respects.

Nirmal’s grandchildren Arjun and Shanaya were seen arriving at the funeral. Later, her sons Anil, Sanjay and Boney Kapoor were seen arriving.

The Kapoor family earlier issued their first statement after Nirmal Kapoor’s death and shared how she lived a full and joyful life. The statement read, “Passed away peacefully on the 2nd of May, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She lived a full and joyful life, leaving behind four devoted children, loving daughters-in-law, a caring son-in-law, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of treasured memories.”

It added, “Her generous spirit and boundless love touched all who knew her. She will remain in our hearts–forever cherished, forever missed. Boney, Anil, Reena, Sanjay, Sunita, Sandeep, Maheep, Mohit, Akshay, Sonam, Arjun, Rhea, Harshvarrdhan, Anshula, Janhvi, Shanaya, Khushi, Jahaan, Antara, Anand, Aashita, Karan Thea, Vayu, Ayra, Yuvaan.”

Nirmal Kapoor married Surinder Kapoor, late veteran film producer, in 1955. She remained away from the spotlight most of her life, whereas, her children Anil, Boney and Sanjay went on to become a big part of the Indian film industry. She celebrated her 90th birthday in September 2024.
