Following the tragic Pahalgam terror attack tensions between India and Pakistan have intensified. In a series of retaliatory actions, India has banned several Pakistani YouTube channels, dramas, and even Instagram accounts of Pakistani celebrities.
After the recent Instagram bans on Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan, more prominent Pakistani figures including Atif Aslam, Fawad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and cricketer Babar Azam all of whom enjoy massive popularity across the border have now seen their accounts become inaccessible to users in India.
Now concerns about a possible ban on the beloved music platform Coke Studio Pakistan are intensifying among fans as India extends Instagram restrictions on Pakistani celebrities. The iconic music television series known for its versatile fusion of classical, folk, and contemporary music remains a cultural gem for both Indian and Pakistani audiences.
Worried fans are expressing their concerns. “Ohh it’s getting serious now what about coke studio,” commented one user, reflecting worry that it might soon become inaccessible to Indian audiences.

India first banned Fawad Khan’s upcoming film ‘Abir Gulaal’, then restricted Pakistani YouTube content and television dramas. Film Federations in India openly opposed the release of the film and have also warned the makers of taking action against them.
