A case has been filed against actor Ajaz Khan after a 30-year-old women has made serious charges of rape against him on the grounds of false assurances of finding her work in the film industry. The FIR was filed at the Charkop police station on Sunday.

According to a police official, the victim claimed that Khan sexually assaulted her on several occasions at different places. She added that the actor promised to give her a break in films and she trusted his words. According to her, she agreed to meet him on several occasions, only to be tricked and assaulted. The case has been registered under appropriate sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rape. Police have started a formal probe into the case and are likely to take statements and evidence in the next few days.

This is not the first time Ajaz Khan has landed in legal trouble. He had been previously accused in a different case involving obscene content in a web series called House Arrest, broadcast on the Ullu app.
