India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ in retaliation to Pahalgam terror attack, which took lives of 26 people. In this operation, India destroyed terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK). Pakistani actors, who enjoy huge fan following in India, have condemned Operation Sindoor and Fawad Khan has also joined them. However, Pakistani fans of Fawad brutally trolled them for his ‘condolence’ message.
Even though Instagram accounts of Pakistani actor have been banned in India, screenshot of Fawad’s post is circulating online. In the message, he wrote, “My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones in the days to come. A respectful request to all: stop stoking the flames with rabble-rousing words. It is not worth the lives of innocent people. May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad!”
However, Fawad’s fans in Pakistan are upset that the actor did not mention India in his post.

Meanwhile, Fawad Khan was gearing up for his comeback in India with the film ‘Abir Gulaal’, also starring Vaani Kapoor in the lead role.
Earlier, Film Federations in India openly opposed the release of the film and have also warned the makers of taking action against them. While speaking to NDTV, Ashoke Pandit, President Of The Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association, said, “This incident is an act of war against the nation. This isn’t the first time…these attacks have been ongoing for 30 years. We, as a federation, have requested with folded hands to not work Pakistanis. They come up with bulls*t reasons like artist, community, but ultimately, the nation must come first. People think ‘agar mere ghar ka aadmi nahi mara toh fk it, I don’t care’, but if this film’s heroine or makers’ family members had been shot by the terrorist, they wouldn’t have worked (with Fawad).”
This controversy happened after the tragic Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025.
Fawad Khan’s Bollywood movies Khoobsurat, Ae Dil Hai Mushik and Kapoor & Sons were big hits.
