Operation Sindoor Film In The Works? Viral Poster Drops Amid Indo-Pak Tensions, Netizens Call It ‘Shameful’

Last three weeks have been really tough on our nation’s security. It all started when terrorists attacked on Pahalgam and it costed 26 lives from our nation. Following this attack, on Wednesday, Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ to target terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), leading to the elimination of several terrorists. Since, then the tensions between the borders have been escalating and not seeming to get calm anytime soon.

Now, amid all this, production houses Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and The Content Engineer have announced that they are coming up with a new film titled ‘Operation Sindoor’, based on the recent Indian Army’s retaliatory mission

Taking to Instagram, Viral Bhayani shared the poster of the upcoming film and captioned: ‘Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films & The Content Engineer collaborate together for India’s bravest strike based film ‘Operation Sindoor’’.

Operation Sindoor Poster Sparks Strong Reactions

This poster of the film, Operation Sindoor has gone viral online, which shows a female soldier applying sindoor with her back turned, rifle in hand, against a battlefield backdrop of tanks, fighter jets and barbed wire. It also features phrase ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ in tricolour which highlights the patriotic theme.

However, not everyone is impressed. The poster has faced backlash on social media, with many users criticising the film’s timing and tone, calling it ‘shameful’ and ‘insensitive’.

Production House Issues Apology

Following the backlash, the production houses have also issued an apology through their official Instagram handle. They wrote: “My sincere apologies for recently announcing a film based on Operation Sindoor, inspired by the recent heroic efforts of our Indian Armed Forces. The intent was never to hurt or provoke anyone’s sentiments. As a filmmaker, I was moved by the courage, sacrifice, and strength of our soldiers and leadership, and simply wished to bring this powerful story to light. This project was born out of deep respect and love for our nation, and not for fame or monetisation.”

They further wrote, “However, I understand the timing and sensitivity may have caused discomfort or pain to some. For that, I deeply regret it. This is not just a film—it’s an emotion of the entire nation and a social image of the country globally, thanks to our Armed Forces and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who make us proud by working day and night for the country with the motto of always putting the nation first.
Our love and prayers will always be with the families of the martyrs, as well as the brave warriors who are fighting on the border day and night to give us a new morning.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!”

However, it is said that film will be directed by Uttam Maheshwari, but no official announcement about the cast has been made so far.
