Renowned Makeup Artist Vikram Gaikwad Passes Away; Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh & Other Bollywood Celebs Mourn National Award Winner News24 –
Renowned makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad who is known for transforming film characters with his unmatched makeup and touch-up skills passed away in Mumbai on Saturday at the age of 65. This news of his passing has left the Indian film industry in deep mourning, with many Bollywood actors paying tribute to him.
A Legend Remembered By Bollywood
Vikram’s unbeatable work has left a lasting mark on Indian cinema, in films like Dangal, 3 Idiots, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Omkara, Sanju and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag he showcased his brilliance and skills. He was known for transforming the actors into their character through his makeup.
Many Bollywood celebrities including Aamir Khan, expressed his grief on Instagram. Dangal star took to Instagram stories and wrote: “It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to the legendary make-up artist Vikram Gaikwad, I had the pleasure of working with him in Dangal, PK, and Rang De Basanti, to name a few. He was a true master of his craft… We will miss you, Dada.”
Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan And Other’s Paid Tribute
Ranveer Singh also took Instagram stories, to give Vikram a heartfelt tribute, by posting his photo with a simple comment ‘ Dada’ with broken heart emoticon.

Varun Dhawan also recalled working with Vikram Gaikwad in Badlapur, said, “A true magician who pushed Indian cinema ahead. Thank you, Dada. Om Shanti.”

Actress Mrunal Thakur simply wrote, “Vikram Dada. I really can’t believe this,” expressing her shock and grief.

Recent reports suggest that his funeral was held on Saturday at 4:30 PM at Shivaji Park Crematorium in Dadar, Mumbai, with many known celebrities attending the same.
