Salman Khan, one of the most loved Bollywood celebrity has found himself receiving severe backlash after posting a tweet over the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The now-deleted post read :“Thank God for the ceasefire…”. This came shortly after India launched Operation Sindoor, a military response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April.
The Pahalgam attack claimed many lives and Operation Sindoor was a strong response from the Indian Army which includes strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan.
With many Bollywood celebrities hailing the Indian Army and it’s efforts, Salman Khan hasn’t reacted anything to ‘Operation Sindoor’ which made netizens really dissapointed.
Netizens Reaction
Many users were seen criticising Salman for commenting on the ceasefire but not speaking up about the Pahalgam attack or the soldiers who lost their lives. Users argued that the actor seems to be more active on the peace talks rather than acknowledging the army’s sacrifice.
One user commented: “Salman Khan deleted his tweet, made no posts about Pahalgam, while Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan also stayed silent during the terrorist attack on India.”
