Aamir Khan Productions’ Social Media Page Changes DP To Indian Flag After Boycott Calls; Netizens Troll Again
Aamir Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, is facing boycott calls again on social media. This allegedly happened after his old clip from his visit to Turkey surfaced online. Amid this, the official social media pages of Aamir Khan Productions have changed their display picture to Indian flag.
Netizens were quick to notice this and some called this damage control. Meanwhile, others supported the superstar and said that people are unneccassary trolling him. One Reddit user wrote, “Lol he’s being boycotted online so clearly did it as damage control. Having said that, Aamir’s PH account posted stories in support of the army the same day when operation was conducted. So idk why people are targeting him so much.”
Another Reddit user supported the actor and wrote, “Why are people conveniently ignoring that this same account had posted in support of India and the armed forces’ mission? And as soon as it was made public, didn’t wait a day or two.”

Earlier, Aamir Khan was in the news after his stance on OTT platforms and theatre business. Sharing his views on poor theatrical business, Aamir said at Waves Summit 2025, “Earlier, films would come in theatres and a year later it would be on satellite. Then it came down to 8 months, 6 months. What happens is I have a choice as the audience to watch the film in theatres as it releases or wait for six months to watch it on satellite.”
He further added, “If I have to be honest with my audience while marketing my film, I have to tell them my film is releasing, but all those who are on a particular subscription have bought my film, they don’t need to come to the theatres. The ones who are not on this OTT, please come. This is the communication I have to make with honesty, but it is awkward. The window between theatrical and OTT is too small. You’re killing your own business.”
It has also been reported that Aamir Khan will directly release Sitaare Zameen Par on YouTube and will choose pay-per-view method for his movie.
