‘Just Wanted To Go Back…’

RJ Mahvash continue to make headlines for her alleged relationship with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal as the duo keeps fueling dating rumours. However, since the rumours about the two dating surfaced, she has faced trolls and negative comments across social media platforms.

In a recent conversation with Free Press Journal, Mahvash admitted that the constant trolling made her feel like walking away from everything.

“This happens with everyone, that once there is a moment when you want to give up. This happened very recently because of some trolls. I was unable to process because some of them were not even true. I was like, ‘Why are these people doing this to me, I am just a girl who is trying to live a life? Why are these people being so mean when they don’t even know the truth?’ So, that took a toll on me and I wanted to leave everything, social media, public life; I just wanted to go back and live like a normal girl and be hidden in some mountains, selling Maggie. But I didn’t want the attention. So, trolls take a toll on me.”

Mahvash added that while she often feels the urge to set the record straight, she chooses not to because she doesn’t owe an explanation to strangers, “But nobody realises this is happening with you. You just sometimes want to clarify that ‘yeh jo tum bol rahe ho, yeh sab made up hai, aisa kuch hai hie nahi (whatever you guys are saying is all made up, nothing like that is there)’. So many times you just want to go and write a long story, fight with people and say ‘stop it, this is not the truth’. But, how many people will you answer and clarify?”

Both have dismissed the dating rumors but speculations were reignited when the two were seen enjoying a Champions Trophy match in Dubai together and when she was spotted several times with Chahal during the IPL season. She has been openly supporting Chahal during the IPL.

These public appearances come after Chahal finalized his divorce from influencer Dhanashree Verma on March 20, 2025. They both tied knots in 2020.

On the work front, Mahvash is also stepping into acting debut in Pyar Paisa Profit, a series inspired by Durjoy Datta’s bestselling novel ‘Now That You’re Rich… Let’s Fall in Love’. The show features Pratik Yadav, Mihir Ahuja, Neil Bhoopalam, Nitish Sharma, Shivangi Khedkar, and Ashish Raghav and it is currently streaming on Amazon MX Player.
