Hera Pheri is one of the most popular film franchises of all time and will return with its third instalment. It was reported that the original trio Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will return to the third part. Earlier Paresh Rawal announced that he is quitting the iconic ‘Babu Bhaiya’ role. But now in a recent development according to reports by Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar has decided to sue Paresh Rawal for the damages caused by his sudden exit in Hera Pheri 3.
The reports suggest that Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape Of Good Films has sent a legal notice to actor Paresh Rawal claiming 25 crores in damages for his unprofessional conduct and exiting the movie after signing a legal contract and beginning the shoot.
But netizens suspect that is this feud for real or is it a PR stunt? On Tuesday, a speculations sparked on Reddit, with users suspecting that the rift is just a marketing move.
Fans expressed utmost disappointment and wrote, “It is extremely sad if all of this is a publicity stunt. I didn’t expect Akshay and Paresh to stoop to this level and go along with their PR/Marketing team.”
Another predicted the twist the PR campaign will take, “Okay so now this confirms 100% that it’s all been a publicity stunt which will come to an end by Paresh tweeting “Yeh toh Baburao ka style hai”
One user summed it up hilariously, “Sounds too farfetched. Just milking the publicity and then they will do an announcement playing on this idea of the reported tension. Paisa ka chakkar dialogue loading.”
Users argued that Akshay and Paresh share a great off screen fellowship and have worked together in multiple blockbusters, wouldn’t damage their bond for a film, another user wrote, “Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are not stupid. They have been in the industry for 30+ years. And they are thorough professionals. Even if there was a case, it would not be in public this fast. These are just for PRs.”
Another fan pointed out the unrealistic rift, “This is so made up. Paresh Rawal leaving the greatest franchise he is ever been a part of. 25 cr ka lawsuit – this is probably more than the fees of Paresh Rawal. Akshay and Paresh share damn good chemistry offscreen – he wont file suit against paresh. Even if Akshay had a riff with Paresh, he wouldn’t make it this obvious – UNLESS this is for film promotion,”
It was earlier reported that Akshay won’t be a part of the film but later sorted his differences. Kartik Aryan was also rumoured to star in Hera Pheri 3 but the makers did not comment on it.
