Is Paresh Rawal’s Exit From Hera Pheri 3 Due To Payment Dispute? Here’s What Reports Say

Hera Pheri is one of the most popular film franchises of all time and will return with its third instalment. It was reported that the original trio Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will return to the third part. Earlier there was buzz that was doing rounds on social media that Paresh Rawal has quit Hera Pheri 3 due to creative differences with the makers, however Paresh Rawal clears the air by announcing that he is not quitting the iconic ‘Babu Bhaiya’ role because of creative differences but he also didn’t reveal the real reason for walking away

But in a recent development, according to sources quoted by IANS, Paresh Rawal had signed the contract, accepting the signing amount, and was even paid more than his usual fee. He was actively participating in key project discussions, but his later demand for additional payment which led to tensions and exit from the film, “Mr. Paresh is a veteran actor, and we’ve had the pleasure of working with him on several projects. However, this behavior seems unprofessional and was completely unexpected from someone of his stature.”

Previously netizens were suspecting that is this feud for real or is it a PR stunt? A thread of speculations sparked on Reddit, with users suspecting that the rift is just a marketing move.

Fans expressed utmost disappointment and wrote, “It is extremely sad if all of this is a publicity stunt. I didn’t expect Akshay and Paresh to stoop to this level and go along with their PR/Marketing team.”

Earlier, according to the media reports Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape Of Good Films has sent a legal notice to actor Paresh Rawal claiming 25 crores in damages for his unprofessional conduct and exiting the movie after signing a legal contract and beginning the shoot. 

While speaking with Hindustan Times, Director Priyadarshan said that he is not aware why Paresh Rawal backed out of the film, “Before starting the film, Akshay asked me to check with both Paresh and Suniel and I did and both were onboard, I don’t have anything to lose but Akshay has invested money and that could be the reason why he is taking this action. Paresh Rawal hasn’t spoken to me till date.”

Suniel Shetty also reacted to Rawal’s exit from the film, calling it “shocking”. While speaking with India Today he said, “I have no clue about this. This is absolutely shocking. I first thought about texting him, and then I thought I’d meet him and would discuss it. I have had no word about it with anybody. Even Akshay is clueless as to what happened.”
