Aly Goni Faces Backlash Over ‘Chapri’ Remark On Jasmin Bhasin

Television’s beloved couple Jasmin Bhasin and Aly Goni, who rose to fame with Bigg Boss 14, are known for their adorable chemistry. But their recent Instagram stories didn’t quite land well with netizens.

On Tuesday, Aly shared a poll question about his girlfriend Jasmin on his Instagram Stories. He posted a picture of Jasmin in jeans and white crop top along with a question, “Kya Jasmin chapri hai (Is Jasmin tacky)”. Soon after Jasmin also shared a sketch of Aly and asked “Kya Aly chapri hai (Is Aly tacky)”.

While the couple probably meant this as playful teasing, the internet reacted sharply. Aly was called a misogynist by some who felt he was being disrespectful to Jasmin. Others said the whole thing was childish and not funny and slammed their poor humour.

Screenshots of their stories quickly circulated on Reddit, where users called out the couple for their immature content. One Redditor commented, “Who posts like this for your girlfriend man.”

Another user criticized Aly calling him misogynist, “He is a big time misogynist. He clearly has no intention to marry her.”

Other users slammed the couple for their immature act, “They both are dumb actually, its not even funny but still jasmin posted a sketch of him but aly posting this picture gives me eww”, “Such a weird couple.” Another questioned, “Are they real or just doing this for fame?” One wrote, “I seriously can’t believe she’s okay with this.”

Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin were friends for three years, before committing to each other.
