Vikram Sugumaran, filmmaker known for his work in Tamil films, passed away on Monday due to cardiac arrest in Chennai. As per reports, he was traveling by bus from Madurai to Chennai when he had cardiac arrest. The news of his sudden demise came as a shock by fans and colleagues from the film industry.
Shanthnu Bhagyaraj paid tribute to Vikram and posted several pictures with him. He wrote, “#Rip dearest brother @VikramSugumara3 I’ve learnt so much from you & will always cherish every moment

Actor Kayal Devaraj also expressed his grief on Vikram’s sudden death.

Vikram made his directorial debut with the 2013 Tamil movie ‘Madha Yaanai Koottam’, which became hit at the box office. The movie stars Kathir, Oviya, Vela Ramamoorthy, Viji Chandrasekhar in the lead roles. He then directed Raavana Kottam in 2023 but the movie received mixed response.
